Bayview Lodge is a four star, self catering resort situated on the main Barra Beach about 27km from the town of Inhambane. Together with Bayview Lodge you also have Bayview Estate that consist of privately owned, face brick and thatch roof beach houses that are for sale. All houses are ideally situated with at least a partial sea view in a properly planned Resort that is neatly laid out. In this Resort you will see what attention to detail is. SO, this is definitely the place to leave your 'city stress' behind, explore the beautiful reefs or just lie on the beach and do nothing!

- Bayview Lodge - 4 x 2 sleeper thatch roof brick houses, that sleeps 2 in one bedroom with double bed and en-suite bahtroom. Bedroom has air-conditioning. Full self catering kitchen equipped with gas stove with oven, mircrowave, fridge/freezer combo, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. Unit has a lounge and dinning area as well as a patio. All units have a carport and share 3 x outside showers.
- Bayview Lodge - 1 x 4 & 1 x 5 sleeper thatch roof brick houses, sleeps 4/5 in two bedrooms, 1st bedroom with a double bed & 2nd bedroom with 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed. Both bedrooms with en-suit bathrooms and air-conditioning. Full self catering kitchen equipped with gas stove with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer combo, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. All units have a carport and own outside showers.
- Bayview "Dive house" - 1 x 16 sleeper double storey thatch roof brick house in 8 bedrooms, 2 x single beds in each room. 3 x bathrooms down stairs, 4th bathroom outside and a toilet & basin upstairs. The unit has an open plan fully self catering kitchen fully equiped as above. The house has a lounge & dining area as well as a patio. The unit has a carport and outside shower. (Under construction!)
- Bayview Estate - Cowrie Cottage - 1 x 10 sleeper double storey thatch roof brick house, sleeps 10 in 4 bedroms, 2 x bedrooms with double & en-suite bathrooms, 3rd bedroom with 2 x bunk beds with separate bathroom, 4th bedroom upstairs with 2 x single beds with basin and toilet. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. Full self catering kitchen equipped with gas stove with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer combo, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. All units have a carport and own outside shower.
Linen and bath towels are provided and laundered weekly, mosquito nets for all beds, one hairdryer per house and all accommodation is serviced daily. No beach towels and baby cots are provided. Season Breakdown: Low Season - 1 Jul to 30 Nov / Mid Season - 16 jan to 30 Jun / Peak Season - 1 Dec to 15 Jan. All Units have a braai, PLEASE always be careful with open fires and wind!!
- Resort has 24 hour Municipal Electricity with a back-up Generator.
- NO Television.
- Security Guards on duty 24-hours per the day.
- Credit Card Facility - Restaurant, Dive Center & Conference Center - are planned for the near future. Currently there are +- 7 Restaurants in the area if you don't want to do the "slave in the kitchen" thing! Diving is done right next door at Makolobay Neptune Beach Bar where a Dive Center is attached. It is serviced by BARRA REEF DIVERS.
Airport Transfers are availalbe and can be arranged.
The Lodge is easily accessible with a normal car as the road up to resort has been covered with coral sand to make it hard. Also inside the Resort the visitor will find neat, well maintained hard coral sand roads leading up to each of the houses.
